According to the Los Angeles Times article “‘Urban Light’: Everything you didn’t know about L.A.’s beloved landmark” by [Author’s Name], artist Chris Burden stumbled upon the inspiration for his renowned “Urban Light” installation at the Rose Bowl Flea Market in 2000. As his friend’s son, Max, excitedly pointed out a vendor selling vintage street lamps, Burden’s vision took shape. Now standing at the entrance of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, this artwork has become a beloved landmark. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the museum has replaced the incandescent light bulbs with energy-efficient LEDs, generously provided by the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation.
